One Four Challenge – Week One

The One Four Challenge comes from Robyn at Captivate Me. I learned about the project from Leanne Cole at Leanne Cole Photography. Great project! The idea of the challenge is to pick one original photograph, then post-process the image four distinct ways on four successive weeks. I love post-processing (which I’m more inclined to call “post-capture” processing). This project is interesting to me as an exercise in starting with a relatively plain and undistinguished image and exploring the various ways to alter it and produce interesting new ways of looking at it.

Here is the original photograph, nothing done to it but tweaking exposure in the course of raw conversion.

And here is the edited image for Week One.
